(Miranda Lambert)

特にカントリー好きというわけではないのですが,時々God Gave Me You (Blake Shelton)やIf I Die Youngのような強力な魅力を持った曲に出会います。
When you start listening to the song, you might think it's another mainstream breakup song.  I did but it isn't.  The best part of the lyrics comes after the music finishes the second hook.  Then you will realize the true meaning of the song.
I'm not a big fan of country music but sometimes I come across some country songs like 'God Gave Me You' (written by Blake Shelton) and 'If I Die Young' that magnetize me.
Over You  (Miranda Lambert)
Weather man said it's gonna snow
By now I should be used to the cold
Mid-February shouldn't be so scary
It was only December
I still remember the presents, the tree, you and me

But you went away
How dare you?
I miss you
They say I'll be OK
But I'm not going to ever get over you

Living alone here in this place
I think of you, and I'm not afraid
Your favorite records make me feel better
Cause you sing along
With every song
I know you didn't mean to give them to me

But you went away
How dare you?
I miss you
They say I'll be OK
But I'm not going to ever get over you

It really sinks in, you know, when I see it in stone

Cause you went away,
How dare you?
I miss you
They say I'll be OK
But I'm not going to ever get over you

It is said Miranda Lambert wrote this song after she had a conversation with Blake Shelton who is now her husband. He told her that his brother was killed in a car accident. The second person in the lyrics could be anybody. Parents, friends, boyfriend/girlfriend and of course husband/wife.
