Recently I've been trying to find a song. It's so hard to find a song when you don't remember a part of the lyrics. I don't know the song title or singers, either. All I remember is it's a hip-hop or R&B love song which consists of a melodic hook and rap parts. No female singer. Both the hook and verses are sung by men, probably American or Canadian considering their pronunciation. Still I have no luck and haven't found it yet but I came across this instead in searching for the song. This is not what I've been looking for but I found it good.
Angel (Akon)
And believe me when I say
She got that whole place glowing
She got that whole place glowing
She got that whole place glowing
(glowing, glowing, glowing)
I'm looking at an Angel
And believe me when I say
She got that whole place glowing
She got that whole place glowing
She got that whole place glowing
And she's high in the sky singing
Whoa
Way above the clouds in the sky singing
Whoa
Way above the clouds in the sky singing
Whoa
Way above the clouds in the sky singing
Whoa
Way above the clouds in the sky singing
She got wings, she got a halo
It seems to me so unnatural
Cause that's one thing that I just don't know
What seems to be so incredible
She looked at me, took me by surprise yeah
As if she took me by the hand to some foreign land,
And had me way up
Way above the clouds in the sky singing
Whoa
Way above the clouds in the sky singing
Whoa
Way above the clouds in the sky singing
Whoa
Way above the clouds in the sky singing
Whoa
Way above the clouds in the sky singing
Singing my song (yeah yeah),
From dusk till dawn (yeah yeah)
I know you got a lot on your mind
But it won't be long (yeah yeah)
It always get better (yeah yeah),
And I may be wrong (yeah yeah)
Cause some never get it across the line
Before they make it home (yeah yeah)
Singing my song (yeah yeah),
From dusk till dawn (yeah yeah)
I know you got a lot on your mind
But it won't be long (yeah yeah)
It always get better (yeah yeah),
And I may be wrong (yeah yeah)
Cause some never get it across the line
Before they make it home (yeah yeah)
I'm looking at an Angel
And believe me when I say
She got that whole place glowing
She got that whole place glowing
She got that whole place glowing
(glowing, glowing, glowing)
I'm looking at an Angel
And believe me when I say

She got that whole place glowing
She got that whole place glowing
And she's high in the sky singing
Whoa
Whoa

* Cause some never get it across the line, Before they make it home
それはともかく,このAngelというタイトルは良く見られるものらしく,この曲を含む12曲がHot 100に入っています。時系列に見ていくと;
1965年, #51, Johnny Tillotson 51位
1972, #40, Rod Stewart 40位
1973, #20, Aretha Franklin 20位
1985, # 5, Madonna 5位
1988, # 3, Aerosmith 3位
1993, #18, Jon Secada 18位
1999, # 4, Sarah McLachlan 4位
2001, # 1, Shaggy 1位
2001, #70, Lionel Richie 70位
2003, #20, Amanda Perez 20位
2008, #63, Natasha Bedingfield 63
